Welcome to your new-look Travel Weekly Touring & Adventure, the trade’s only regular publication dedicated to this sector and a must-read for agents who sell escorted tours and adventure holidays. It’s fitting that as we relaunch Touring & Adventure, the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers gets ready to host its biggest conference (pages 10-11), and we open voting for our first reader survey of the trade’s touring brands (page 9). Separately, each of these developments would be a signal of the sector’s increasing importance; together, they show how crucial touring and adventure travel has become. It’s no longer a niche area that agents can afford to ignore, which is why we’ve revamped our coverage. We’ve added bite-sized destination guides (pages 19, 23), in-depth analysis (pages 16-17), selling tips (page 15) and first-hand feedback (pages 24, 27) – plus we bring you the ultimate guide to spotting our closest animal relatives, primates. I hope to see you at the Atas Conference in Manchester. If you have any feedback about the new-look Travel Weekly Touring & Adventure, please email me your comments at katie.mcgonagle@travelweekly.co.uk.
