Celestyal adds tool for trade to book pre and post-cruise land stays

Celestyal has added a tool to its booking system that enables agents to create cruise-and-land packages for before or after a client’s sailing. Janet Parton, Celestyal’s

vice-president of business development, said: “By allowing agents to seamlessly book cruise- and-land packages, including high-quality hotel stays and private transfers, we’re enhancing the overall value and convenience of the Celestyal experience.” The hotels available are

four-star and above, with private transfers available to and from the airport, hotel and port. This service is available

Avalon unveils raft of 2025 prices with flights included

Samantha Mayling

Avalon Waterways has launched flight-inclusive pricing for 2025 with deals across 120 sailings. It is the earliest in the year that the river cruise line

has released package prices. Phil Shipman, Avalon Waterways UK sales director,

encouraged agents to take advantage of these early prices, describing the line’s regional flight offering as “the strongest it has ever been”, with no supplements from selected airports and “industry-leading low deposits” of £200 per person. Flight-inclusive prices are available for departures

from Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Prices lead in at £1,999 per person, based on double occupancy in a Deluxe Stateroom, or £2,549 in a Panorama Suite.

Avalon claims its Panorama Suites are 30% larger

than the industry standard and offer river cruising’s only open-air balcony. Cabins are set up with the bed facing floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Agents who book a 2025 cruise before October 31

will be entered into a draw to win a seven-night cruise for two people next year, including flights. Avalon has already announced that it will resume its

fam trip programme, with its first sailings since 2020 scheduled for October. Selected agents will be invited on a three or four-night Danube cruise hosted by a member of the Avalon Waterways UK sales team. Shipman said the reintroduction of fam trips was “a

natural step” to “build new and existing relationships”. The cruise line is a sister brand of Globus and
