Lusso features 11 countries in first dedicated Europe range

Erica Bush and Juliet Dennis

Trade-only operator Lusso has launched a Europe programme and recruited a dedicated marketing manager for the first time in its 11-year history. The luxury operator’s new programme focuses on

destinations most regularly requested by UK agents, including Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Malta, Morocco and Turkey. The programme features 148 hotels and resorts

across 11 countries, with potentially more to be added, and is initially available on the operator’s website. Not all product has yet been loaded on to the site

but all contracted properties are ready to book. Managing director James Weaver said Europe

had been the most-requested region to add to Lusso’s portfolio. “We established Lusso to support independent agents and will always strive to listen to their feedback and react to their needs,” he said. The programme was created by Lusso’s Europe and Africa product manager, Vanessa Dean, who previously

spent seven years at Carrier as Europe product manager. She said: “Our hotel partners in Europe are excited

to be working with Lusso and our excellent network of travel agent partners.” The operator can tailor itineraries for agents; for

example, linking Rome, Florence and Venice by rail, devising a self-drive trip through the Italian Lakes or creating a Greek island-hopping holiday. Lusso offers a 12-night Greece island-hopping

holiday from £3,690 per person based on two sharing in September. The price includes four nights each at Elounda Gulf Villas in Crete, Canaves Oia Hotel in Santorini and Parilio Hotel in Paros, plus flights, two ferry journeys and transfers. Lusso has also appointed Pete Mathers as marketing

manager as the operator seeks to further support the trade. Mathers has worked for several luxury operators as both marketing manager and product manager. He was also a senior account manager at a travel PR agency and the general manager of a luxury hotel in Sri Lanka. lussotravel.com
