Olympic Holidays introduces short cruises in the Med

Olympic Holidays is offering cruises for the first time in more than 50 years of trading. The operator has unveiled
three-day and four-day sailings from Athens to the Greek islands and Turkey this summer. The sailings are operated by
eastern Mediterranean specialist line Miray Cruises, on board 1,074-passenger ship Gemini. Olympic Holidays, which has
been offering trips to Greece and Cyprus since 1967, decided to introduce cruises after the success of its island-hopping experiences. A seven-night cruise-and-stay
holiday costs from £1,415, based on two people sharing. Guests will spend one night
at the three-star Acropolis Hill Hotel in Athens on a B&B basis, take a three-night round-trip cruise from Athens, calling at Santorini, Mykonos and Cesme on a full-board basis, and spend three

nights at the five-star Grecotel Pallas Athena in Athens on a B&B basis. Packages include flights from Gatwick, luggage and all connecting transfers. Managing director Michael
Vinales said: “Following the successful launch and huge appetite we’re seeing for our island-hopping experiences, our two new cruise itineraries offer guests an alternative way to set sail and explore.
“Everything is tailor-made,
allowing guests to set their own pace either side of the cruise. “With bespoke itineraries to
accommodate varying requests around length of stay and budget, all guests have the option to extend their stay in Athens or add on another island or two. Dipping our toes into the cruise market was the next logical step for us.”
