Royal plans Perfect Day Mexico resort
Royal Caribbean plans to open private resort Perfect Day Mexico in Mahahual on the Caribbean coast in 2027. It will follow the launch of Royal Beach Club in Cozumel in 2026. The line opened Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas in 2019 and plans the first Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island next year.

Carnival adds Miami departures and expands in Australia
Carnival Cruise Line has added departures in Miami and doubled the number of ships it deploys in Australia for 2026-27. Carnival Magic andCarnival
Sunrise will sail from PortMiami to destinations in the Bahamas. Carnival Magic will operate six
to eight-day cruises with visits to private island Celebration Key, alongside western and eastern Caribbean destinations. Carnival Sunrise will offer four
and five-day options, with longer itineraries visiting Grand Turk, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. In Australia, Carnival
Adventure and Carnival Encounterwill join Carnival Splendor and Carnival Luminosa. Carnival Adventure and
Carnival Splendor will sail from Sydney, while Carnival Luminosa andCarnival Encounter will sail itineraries from Brisbane ranging in duration from two to 14 days.

Marella unveils 2026 eclipse and 30th anniversary sailings

Marella Cruises has launched its summer 2026 itineraries, including a solar eclipse sailing, with the programme now on sale. The eclipse will be visible on the second day of
a Marella Discovery 2 itinerary called Cosmopolitan Charms, departing from Palma, Majorca, on August 11. The sailing includes stops in Palamos in Spain, Propriano in France, Civitavecchia and Salerno in Italy and Palermo in Sicily, and is priced from £1,533. Marella Discovery 2 will also sail a Jewels of
Mediterranean itinerary on May 12, also from Palma, with prices starting at £1,533. Ports of call include Olbia in Sardinia, La Spezia in Italy, Villefrance and Toulon in France, and Palamos in Spain. Tui-owned Marella Cruises will also operate
HAL adds 28-day itinerary to New England and Canada programme
Holland America Line has expanded its Canada and New England programme for 2026. Additions include the 28-day Legendary Voyage, which departs Boston on June 20 and visits Canada and Iceland. Zuiderdam and Volendam will offer seven-day voyages between Boston and Montreal or Québec City, with Volendam also sailing to Canada’s Maritime provinces.

Viva Cruises reveals launch date for sister premium line’s first ship
Viva Cruises has launched premium line Viva Boutique to “take the concept of exclusivity and enjoyment to a whole new level”. The line’s 116-passenger new-build river ship, Viva Beyond, will enter service in May 2026. Its maiden voyage will be an eight-day round trip from Paris to the Atlantic coast via Normandy.
