Story: ‘Devastating’ tourist visa change leaves thousands of India holidays at risk Let us hope Aito and the Indian High Commission meet ASAP and come to some accord. It would be tragic if people had to cancel at the last minute because of visa problems. Going on holiday to a wonderful country like India takes some planning. For the good of all, let us hope there is a way to settle this problem. Patrick Doyle We have just lost thousands of pounds as the company we were using to get our visa (in plenty of time) is now not allowed to get it and we cannot get an appointment at the High Commission for India anywhere for a visa before our departure date. We have waited two years for this trip and now we’ve had to cancel and only get a partial refund as per the tour operator’s terms and conditions. We have lost roughly £4,000 and don’t get the holiday we’ve been looking forward to either. Gutted. Jamie Wedderburn
