IKOS DASSIA: The new resort in Corfu has its own private beach

Meliá to open properties in Venice and Rome
Meliá Hotels is to open a five-star hotel in Venice by the end of 2018. Gran Meliá Ca’ di Dio, located near St Mark’s Square, will have 79 rooms, meeting rooms, a signature restaurant and all-day restaurant. Meliá will also open an Innside property in Rome in 2019.

Club Med to unveil ski resorts in Alps and Japan
All-inclusive resort operator Club Med is to open two ski resorts this winter. Both Grand Massif, in Samoëns Morillon, France, and Tomamu in Hokkaido, Japan, are due to open in December.

Palladium to add resort in Mexico’s Yucatan in 2018
Palladium Hotel Group will open a luxury property in the northeast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa will host events, conferences and weddings when it opens in autumn 2018. It will feature nine restaurants and four pools.

Tui Group to build third Robinson Club in Greece
Tui Group has acquired land in Crete to build its third Robinson Club in Greece. Tui has seen a 10% year-on-year rise in holidaymakers to Greece, making the country its number- two destination behind Spain.

basketball, beach badminton and volleyball, and go canoeing, paddleboarding and mountain biking. Motorised water sports are available at no extra cost. The spa and fitness centres will
offer treatments in private rooms, including in couples’ suites, indoor and outdoor heated pools with a Jacuzzi and a thermal suite with steam room and sauna. Ikos Resorts also owns Ikos Oceania and Ikos Olivia both in

The end of September welcomed the fantastic news that easyJet has confirmed the expansion of its Liverpool base with the introduction of an Airbus A320, its eighth aircraft to be based here in Liverpool. The aircraft is set to start operating from 27 July 2018. The airline will also upgrade two A319 aircraft to the A320 model, which will significantly increase easyJet’s seat capacity at Liverpool. We’re delighted with this news and I look forward to announcing the new routes soon! I welcomed Milan-based tour operators arriving into Liverpool on a fam trip organized by Marketing Liverpool. I’m pleased to say they loved the city and went home very excited to tell their customers all about it! Inbound tourism is something we love working together on with our city partners.
