Shackleton ship archaeologist to speak on Cunard sailing in 2023
Maritime archaeologist Mensun Bound, who led the discovery of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship this year, will join a Cunard sailing in 2023. Bound will answer questions about the Endurance 22 Expedition during the 13-night voyage from Vancouver on August 7, 2023. Prices start from £1,699. He has conducted wreck surveys and excavations globally in a 40-year career.

Silver Moon to operate seven-night voyages in northern Europe
Silversea Cruises has released six new northern Europe summer sailings for 2022 with extended stays in port. The seven-day voyages on the
596-berth Silver Moon, which debuted last year, feature ports of call in Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Poland and Sweden. Prices for the mini-programme’s
first departure on June 21 start from £4,900. The sailing from Copenhagen calls at Gdansk, Poland; Ronne, Denmark; Tallinn, Estonia; and Helsinki, Finland. Other sailings depart on June 28,
July 19 and August 8, 15 and 22. Silver Moon features Sea and
Land Taste, Silversea’s immersive culinary programme, plus a wider range of excursions available on

Scenic offers 30% discount on 11 sailings

Fred Olsen unveils programme and offers for 2023-24 sailings

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has released its full 2023-24 programme, featuring more than 100 sailings ranging from two to 93 nights. Regional departures are offered from Liverpool,
Newcastle, Rosyth, Southampton, Dover, Tilbury and Belfast. There is also a fly-cruise programme with Caribbean-based ship Braemar in the winter months. Up to £250 per person onboard spend is offered for
cabins or up to £500 for suite bookings. Passengers who book a 2023 cruise also qualify for
a 10% discount on any new booking for 2022. Prices for a 14-night Summertime in Lapland and Scandinavia cruise, departing from Newcastle on July 1, 2023, start at £2,099. Ports of call include Turku, Oulu, Kemi, all
Finland; Holmsund, Sweden; and Aarhus, Denmark. Borealis will operate a 10-night Touring Southern
Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar sailing from Liverpool from October 22, 2023. Prices start from £1,399. Ports of call include Lisbon, Gibraltar, Malaga and Cadiz. The lead-in price for the seven-night Mighty
