Disney’s new app lets clients preview trips
Disney Destinations International has released an app for agents to let customers take a virtual tour of a Disney cruise. The company said the app, Magic Ahoy!+, aims to give clients a “taste” of a sailing before they book and is a “fantastic tool” to educate them. Agents can tailor a one-day cruise to customers’ preferences.

savings on European river cruises, plus free flights and savings of up to £1,500 on Mekong River trips. From May 10 to August 30, the
line’s 15-day Magnificent Europe cruise will cost from £2,995, while its 15-day Vietnam & Cambodia Highlights is £4,245.

P&O Cruises offers 100 places to agents on two Iona sailings

P&O Cruises will welcome 100 agents on its first fam trips on board Iona this year. The line is operating a new incentive called Shine at
Sea, which will enable 50 agents to win spots on each of two seven-night sailings. The first cruise will depart on September 7 and sail
to the Norwegian fjords, while the second will set sail on November 2 and visit northern Europe. Both will include “bespoke training experiences” and “exclusive” events for agents. Most places will be won through a prize draw, which
agents can enter by making and registering each new booking they secure on the Shine Rewards Club by May 20. Agents will be given a choice of which of the two
trips they would most like to go on, as well as the option of nominating a colleague to go with them. Additionally, bonus entries can be secured
by watching a live video on April 24 on the line’s dedicated trade Facebook page and by joining
Saga Cruises goes nationwide by
extending its home pick-up service Saga Cruises is extending its home pick-up service nationwide for 2025 ocean sailings from Dover and Portsmouth. The option is currently only available for passengers living up to 300 miles from the two ports, but this is being increased across the UK mainland for the 2025 season of 47 itineraries by sister ships Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of Discovery.

“incredibly excited” about Shine at Sea, saying giving agents the opportunity to sail is “truly the best way to experience our product”. The line has already announced its “largest ship visit
programme to date” for 2024 with more than 1,000 places available for agents. The fams will be in addition to those ship visit places, meaning the line will welcome more than 1,100 agents on board this year. “We can’t wait to welcome agents on our Shine
at Sea events, to give them the chance to really immerse themselves in what P&O Cruises has to offer,” said Venn.

HAL reroutes world cruise amid safety concerns around Red Sea
Holland America Line has rerouted a world cruise, affecting the last 43 days of the 124-day voyage to avoid the Red Sea on safety grounds. Zuiderdam will call at 49 ports – one more than planned – in 34 destinations across six continents. It departs on January 4, 2025, and ends on May 9, in Fort Lauderdale.
