MSC Cruises reveals features on new ship World America
Josie Klein MSC Cruises has shared details
about the newest ship in its fleet, MSC World America. The LNG-powered vessel,
scheduled to enter service in April 2025, will have 20 bars and lounges, 13 restaurants, six pools and 14 hot tubs, as well as an 11-deck-high slide. The ship will feature seven
‘districts’, each with its own “atmosphere, facilities and experiences”, the line said.
As on other ships in the fleet,
World America will have an MSC Yacht Cub that offers guests butler service and priority embarkation and disembarkation, as well as a private lounge and dining room. The Family Aventura district
will be home to outdoor park The Harbour, which has a high-ropes course, playground and over-water swing ride, as well as children’s area Doremiland featuring bumper cars, a roller rink and water park. The Aqua Deck district will
World America
house the two main pools, one with a retractable roof, while the adult- only Zen Area district will offer two other pools and promises a “haven of relaxation and rejuvenation”. Passengers can shop at the
Galleria district, which will also have new dining concept Luna Park Pizza & Burger, offering fast-food options. More shops will be available at
the Terraces district, as well as nine restaurants and bars and a comedy club that will also serve as a duelling
pianos bar and karaoke room. The seventh district is the
Promenade, which will be half indoors and half outdoors, framed by the 11-deck dry slide and home to shops, a coffee bar and various
dining venues. World America is the line’s
second World-class ship and will begin operating its maiden season on April 12, 2025, sailing alternating seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries.
