The introduction of up-to-date systems will let our Tech Kickstart competition winners realise their potential

WHAT THEAGENTS SAY

“A Vertical Systems revamp will take Destination Anywhere to the next level. We are stuck in a time warp and need help getting out. “A member of my team has just

relocated 200 miles away and is now working from home, so a new phone and back-office system is urgently needed. I am keen to do more e-marketing and having a custom-made CRM system is top of my 2018 wish list. “We are a very busy, successful

agency, but I know that with Vertical Systems’ help we could be more efficient, organised, forward-thinking and ultimately more profitable.” Sally Hislop, director, Destination Anywhere

“We are a long-running independent travel agency with a large amount of loyal, repeat clients. “Our current programs and software

are sufficient, but the busier we get with bookings the more difficult it can be to maintain our client communication and continuously promote our business. “A CRM system and online search and booking feature will be fantastic and substantially benefit us.” Danielle Bassett, travel consultant, Crown Travel

WINNERS TAKE V

ertical Systems has pledged to give Crown Travel and Destination Anywhere

the tools to reach the next level in business as it embarks on a tech overhaul of the Liverpool-based agencies. The agencies were given a technology MOT

after winning the Travel Weekly and Vertical Systems’ Tech Kickstart competition. After discussions with Vertical, both agencies

have opted for the company’s latest customer relationship management system, V-CRM, and its TARSC front and back-office system. In addition, Crown Travel has chosen

Vertical’s V-Cruise search and booking product and its Manage My Booking web tool for clients. Destination Anywhere has picked its voice over internet phone (VOIP) system. According to Vertical’s managing director Chris North, both agencies are sorely in need of new technology. “These are old-school travel agents,” he says. “They almost don’t know what they’re missing because they haven’t got it. They’re both successful agencies but just imagine how much more successful they could be. There is so much potential.” Destination Anywhere director Sally Hislop admits that keeping pace with technology is difficult for smaller, independent agencies. “We are a small agency keen to grow and develop, but find it difficult to keep up with

technological advances and understand what would suit us,” she says. Both agencies will immediately reap the benefits of having a CRM system in place for the first time, which will mean their quotes for customers have a uniform and professional look and feel, according to Vertical.
