Forex specialist offers ‘virus-free’ Clean Currency

A travel money company is offering a new Clean Currency product of notes fresh from the mint to allay holidaymakers’ Covid-19 safety concerns. Spendology’s “virus-free

cash” comes in the form of brand new banknotes in euros or dollars bundled into small denominations by staff wearing PPE in a “complete separation” of workflow from normal Spendology currency deliveries. It is delivered to customers

using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Coins – if required – are delivered in “quarantine envelopes”. Research by the company last

month found 57% of consumers were concerned about handling cash while on holiday overseas. Clean Currency can be sold by

travel agents and operators for a margin and Spendology offers a white-label service so agents can market the product as their own and choose what price structure to offer it at. Average margins on a typical sale are between £25-£35. Marketing and business

development director Karen Gee said: “Virus-free cash offers reassurance and peace of mind.” spendology.com
