Riviera introduces commission on upgrades and add-ons

Riviera Travel has started paying commission on previously exempt elements such as upgrades and other add-ons. Commission is payable on

sole-occupancy supplements, room upgrades, flight upgrades and extras such as personalised experiences, additional baggage, pre-booked seats and priority boarding. The shift follows feedback

from Riviera’s agent engagement committee. As part of its peaks campaign,

the operator is offering agents a £30 voucher for bookings made in January and February. The amount doubles to £60 for themed river cruise bookings. Vicky Billing, head of sales,

said: “Travel agents play a pivotal role in the success of Riviera. “They serve as our trusted

advisors who can navigate the complexities of travel arrangements. “Their expertise in promoting

Riviera’s unique product and incentives helps drive bookings and boosts revenue.” rivieratravel.co.uk
