Windstar Cruises reveals restart dates
Windstar Cruises is to require passengers to have been vaccinated against Covid-19. The line has unveiled its restart plans, with Star Breeze to resume sailings in the Caribbean and Wind Star in the Mediterranean on June 19, Wind Spirit in Tahiti on July 15, Wind Surf in the Med on August 8 and Star Legend in northern Europe on September 4.

Clia offers agents new river cruise training and ID card
Cruise body Clia has launched two initiatives for agent members. Agents seeking to learn more
about the river cruise sector can take part in the RiverView programme, featuring new online training and exclusive resources. A monthly river cruise
e-newsletter will be available, as will additional learning resources including exclusive river sales guides. The RiverView programme costs £32 plus VAT. The second initiative is a Clia
Embarc ID card, which is proof of status as an official travel agent member of Clia UK & Ireland. It gives access to discounted
rates when registering for Clia events and there will be other benefits from Clia partner businesses. An introductory rate of £15 plus VAT is available.

P&O unveils Arvia sailings as part of winter 2022-23 range

P&O Cruises’ new ship Arvia will sail a 14-night Canary Islands maiden voyage from Southampton and a Christmas and New Year cruise to the archipelago before transferring for its inaugural
season in the Caribbean. Arvia’s debut departures in December 2022 are
part of a new winter programme which also features the line’s first Canary Islands fly-cruises and a 99-night world cruise. Prices for a 14-night repositioning cruise on Arvia,
departing from Southampton on January 6, 2023, start from £1,249. Ports of call include Tenerife, Sint Maarten, St Kitts and Barbados. The fly-cruises will operate from Tenerife, with
Azura offering two alternating seven-night itineraries which can be combined for a 14-night option taking in La Palma, Fuerteventura, Madeira, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. Prices for the seven-night fly-cruise departing Tenerife on November 18, 2022, start at £629. The line also announced that Arvia’s sister ship Iona
Great Rail Journeys launches no-fly rail-cruise Christmas trip to Germany

Great Rail Journeys is offering a rail-cruise itinerary in Germany in December this year. Prices for the five-day no-fly Christmas Markets of the Rhine itinerary, departing December 6, 2021, lead in at £825. The cruise on Amadeus Silver II calls at Koblenz and Bonn before returning to Cologne where passengers take the Eurostar train back to London.
