TECHKICKSTART in association with
WIN YOUR AGENCY A TECH REVAMP
Travel Weekly has teamed up with Vertical Systems to offer one lucky agency business the chance to have a tech MOT. Imagine being able to answer the telephone
with your customer’s name and their booking history before you even pick up the receiver. Or know what is selling and what isn’t at your agency at the touch of button. Have you been putting off a much-needed
review of your agency’s technology? Or perhaps your staff have been saying they would like a customer-profiling system that allows them to provide a more personalised service and promote targeted deals to specific clients? If so, you’re in luck. Travel Weekly is working with Vertical Systems, the IT and telecommunications experts behind the Tarsc front and back-office system, to give away a FREE ‘tech kickstart’ to one lucky agency. The winner will also appear in the pages of Travel Weekly as we chart their progress. Travel Weekly Group editor-in-chief Lucy
Huxley said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for an agency to overhaul their business and reap the benefits of improved customer service.” Vertical Systems managing director Rob
Barker said: “Technology is often low down on agents’ to-do lists. This could be the wake-up call you have been waiting for.” Whether you are a traditional
bricks-and-mortar travel agency or an office call centre agency, all you need to do to enter our competition is tell us why you need Vertical Systems’ help. Barker said: “We are looking for an agent
we can engage with to help demonstrate how technology can improve business. “None of this is mind-blowing but it’s the simple stuff that can make the difference. A lot of agencies will not have CRM systems and will rely on staff in the shop knowing the regulars.” The winning agency will receive a free
consultation from Vertical Systems’ team of experts, with advice on which front and back- office computer system and telephone system would best suit their business. They will then receive a specially tailored package, installed by Vertical Systems to meet their needs. Nyki Dilworth, operations director at Vertical
Systems, said: “We would provide a complete tech MOT and from there we would provide all the software, training and hand-holding the agent needs.”
The winning agency will also get help
to analyse the data gained as a result, complemented by follow-up visits and advice to improve marketing techniques and capitalise on sales opportunities. Dilworth added: “There is no point in collecting 10,000 email addresses if you bulk email them and they turn into spam. It’s not about emailing clients every week, it’s how best to target and market to them using the information in the system. “In a short amount of time the new system
will give the business owner data to analyse what is being sold, who is selling it and what is not being sold. “If you know what you are not selling and
why, you can rectify and deal with it, rather than have no idea what potential business you are losing.”
