Virgin Atlantic to start routes to Riyadh and Accra from Heathrow
Virgin Atlantic will start new routes from Heathrow to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Accra, Ghana, next summer. Flights to King Khalid
International airport in Riyadh will operate daily from March 30, 2025, on A330neo aircraft. The Saudi capital is home to
Virgin Atlantic’s SkyTeam partner Saudia, and the partnership will offer onward connections to the Pakistani destinations of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, with further destinations within Saudi Arabia and to Bangladesh and China to follow. Virgin Atlantic will return
to Ghana for the first time since 2013, with daily flights to Kotoka International airport launching on May 1, 2025, operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Jet2 unwraps record range of 2025-26 Xmas market breaks

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have unveiled their biggest-ever programme of Christmas market trips with their range for 2025-26. Eight destinations are available from 12 UK airports,
with 250,000 seats on sale – up 16% year on year. Prague and Vienna services from Jet2’s new
Bournemouth base are among eight new routes. Other new links are Belfast-Vienna, East Midlands-
Berlin, Glasgow-Budapest, Liverpool-Vienna, Newcastle-Gdansk and Stansted-Krakow. The range also features Prague, Cologne and Copenhagen. In Berlin, three nights’ room-only at Leonardo
Royal Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz, departing from East Midlands on December 5, 2025, costs £959. In Prague, three nights’ B&B at Hotel Design Metropol costs £749, flying from Bournemouth on November 27, 2025.
Edinburgh to gain American Airlines link to Philadelphia from next May
American Airlines will resume flights between Edinburgh and Philadelphia in May 2025. The seasonal service, which will start on May 24 and run until October, will be the carrier’s first route to Scotland since 2019. A Boeing 787-8 aircraft will depart Edinburgh at 11.35 and arrive in Philadelphia at 14.00, while the Philadelphia departure will be at 19.05, arriving in Edinburgh at 07.00.

launched a programme to their ninth airport in Italy, with new flights and holidays via Amalfi Coast (Salerno) airport going on sale for summer 2025. The sister brands will operate weekly services on
Mondays from two UK airports – Birmingham and Manchester – from May 26 to September 29, 2025, with both routes being exclusive to the companies. Jet2holidays has put a range of hotels on sale across
the Amalfi coast, as well as introducing the port city of Salerno as a new destination. A week at Holiday Inn Salerno Cava de’ Tirreni, departing from Manchester on June 9, 2025, costs £839 on a room-only basis. Prices are based on two adults sharing.

Its maiden voyage will be a transatlantic crossing from Malaga on December 28, 2025, ending in Miami on January 13, 2026, where it will be christened. Star Seeker’s debut season will span the Caribbean, Alaska and Japan.
