Classic Collection adds Ryanair to package options

Classic Collection has added Ryanair flights as a component of its package holidays. The 100% trade-focused

operator said it would start selling Ryanair flights through its network of more than 3,000 travel agent partners in the coming weeks. Si Morris-Green, B2B director

at Classic Collection, said: “We’re really looking forward to working with the UK’s largest airline group. “This development comes as a

direct result of Classic Collection being able to leverage part of the Ryanair agreement with our parent company On the Beach. “It will allow our trade partners

to offer their customers a much wider selection of regional departures and thousands of new package holidays. “These will be available with

the highly competitively priced airfares that are associated with the Ryanair brand.” A new dedicated contact

centre team will service the operator’s bookings with a Ryanair component to ensure that agents and their customers are up to date with the information they need in real time. Following extensive testing,

it will be possible to make bookings via Classic Collection’s agent-only booking portal in the next few weeks.

Minister predicts airfare rises

will be minimal in SAF switch Airfare price rises caused by the adoption of green aviation fuel will be “negligible”, MPs have been told. The claim was made by aviation minister Mike Kane, MP for Wythenshawe and Sale East, as the government’s mandate for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) was debated in Parliament. Kane insisted the Labour government had “absolutely no plans” to stop people flying.
