Royal extends UK sailings on Anthem
Royal Caribbean International has extended Anthem of the Seas’ British Isles sailings into
October. The line has been operating domestic cruises since July, with five and seven-night itineraries visiting ports of call such as Liverpool, Belfast, Kirkwall and Glasgow.

Sandals starts taking bookings for new Royal Curacao resort
Sandals’ new all-inclusive resort on the Caribbean island of Curacao is now taking bookings – and will boast the brand’s first floating restaurant and bar. The 351-room Sandals Royal
Curacao, Sandals’ 16th resort, is to open on April 14, 2022. An opening offer gives a 45%
discount for bookings made by November 2, 2021. Sandals has spent $72 million
enchancing the former Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, set on a 3,000-acre nature reserve. The resort specialist’s first
floating restaurant and bar has been built from a 92-foot Dutch ship, and the resort will also be home to the brand’s first Dos Awa infinity pool. Dining options will include nine five-star restaurants.

Jet2holidays launches 2022-23 winter range from eight bases

Jet2holidays has put 2022-23 winter-sun holidays on sale from eight UK airports. Destinations in the programme include the Canary
islands of Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, as well as Madeira, Antalya and Paphos. Flights are available from Belfast International,
Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted. More destinations will be added from these eight bases,
as well as East Midlands and Leeds Bradford airports. Weekly and daily services will run from early
November 2022 until the end of April 2023. A seven-night self-catering holiday at the four-star
Barut B Suites in Antalya, departing from Birmingham on November 24, 2022, costs £449 based on two sharing. Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “We’ll be sharing
more details over the coming weeks and we know how popular this programme will be.” The operator is also ramping up capacity to Madeira
and Malta for this autumn in response to “very strong” demand. More Madeira flights have been added in September and October from Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds Bradford, while Malta is gaining extra September departures from Manchester and Stansted. Meanwhile, new functionality on

Jet2holidays’ mobile apps allows customers to upload and store travel documents. These include overseas country entry forms and negative Covid-19 test results. Holidaymakers can access travel information and
entry requirements for their destination, allowing them to travel paper-free. Package holidaymakers can view documents, including boarding passes, and flight and transfer vouchers, on the Jet2holidays app.

Virgin Atlantic is to begin flying to the Bahamas from Heathrow from November. The twice-weekly services will
be operated by a Boeing 787-9 with 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium
and 192 Economy Delight, Classic and Light seats. Economy fares lead in at £713. The transatlantic specialist
airline is also to increase UK capacity to Barbados by 60% from
October 31. It will now offer five flights a week from Manchester and 11 flights a week from Heathrow – up from three and seven a week respectively.
