Must-see Macao
Macao may be small, but don’t underestimate how much there is to see and do. From exploring the key sights with the help of the Step Out, Macao self-guided walking tours, to taking in the destination’s glittering nightlife and entertainment, your customers will be spoilt for choice during their stay.
MARVEL AT THE PORTUGUESE-CHINESE HERITAGE The Historic Centre of Macao is one of the best places to experience the destination’s unique Portuguese-Chinese heritage at its finest. Protected as a Unesco World Heritage Site, the Historic Centre consists of 30 buildings, squares and temples, including the Ruins of St Paul’s, Senado Square and A-Ma Temple.
EXPLORE TAIPA VILLAGE Wander through the charming, ‘Instagrammable’ narrow streets of Taipa and visit some of Macao’s authentic shophouses and eateries. Taipa’s temples and quaint museums will also suit visitors interested in heritage and culture.
SEE THE GIANT PANDAS The Macao Giant Panda Pavilion in Coloane is home to giant pandas Kai Kai and Xin Xin and their adorable twin cubs, born in June 2016, as well as red pandas Luo Luo and Tong Tong. The pavilion and park are great for families.
CHILL OUT IN COLOANE Macao’s south is home to peaceful beaches, colourful neighbourhoods and scenic hiking trails. In addition to the shorter Seac Min Pun Ancient Path, the five-mile Coloane Trail is great for walkers and there’s an 18-hole golf course.
ADMIRE THE VIEW FROM THE MACAU TOWER The 338m-high Macau Tower is a must-see for those wanting to capture stunning views of Macao and beyond. Thrill-seekers can enjoy adrenaline-fuelled activities, including a bungee jump, skywalk and tower climb.
