Classic unveils trade guide to Caribbean 52

Samantha Mayling

Classic Collection Holidays has launched a destination guide to the Caribbean to help travel agents selling the region. The 52-page guide, created

by the operator’s product and sales teams, showcases twin and multi-centre island-hopping combinations. It highlights activities such as hiking, ziplining, wild swimming, sailing, surfing and diving – plus where to spot whales, dolphins and turtles. The operator’s team members

share top tips, and highlight the best family, couples, all-inclusive and group holidays. There are sections on wellbeing,

villas and suites, plus in-depth guides to dining out, boutique and luxury properties, and beaches. Alex Gavalda, product and

commercial director, said: “Following the positive feedback generated by the launch of our Maldives guide, it was a natural progression to create similar in-depth content to help our agent partners

Classic Collection’s Guide to the Caribbean is available online or in print

Number of pages in guide, aimed at helping agents sell the region

sell those regions of the Caribbean that are key to the UK market. “Many brochures simply list

hotels and highlight the quality of the beaches. Our guide offers much more insight by focusing on the huge variety the Caribbean has to offer. “Customers will be looking for

the best possible advice and more than just a simple beach holiday. “The Caribbean is an important

part in the continued growth of our long-haul product at Classic. “As a specialist in luxury holidays,

we continue to do what we’ve always done: to support agents in winning the trust of new customers and retaining existing ones.” Classic’s Guide to the Caribbean

can be downloaded from the operator’s website. Print copies can

be ordered through Tradegate. classic-collection.co.uk/agent-login

It was great to take part in easyJet’s celebrations to mark over three million passengers from Birmingham Airport. The airline surprised two lucky travellers from the local area, flying from Birmingham to Belfast, with a pair of easyJet return flights to use in the future. The airline has also launched a route to Faro, easyJet’s eighth route from Birmingham. Things are looking up! Bye for now!

We’re starting to see our airlines increase capacity to some of our customers’ favourite destinations. TUI has added additional based aircraft, resulting in extra flights to Greek hotspots Kos, Rhodes and Crete as well as Turkey and Palma.

Travel agent updates from Birmingham Airport’s Tom Screen

Hi All, As the summer season starts, we see all remaining UK Covid-19 travel measures end. We welcomed the news – as I’m sure you did – to make travel even more straightforward. At Birmingham Airport, we’ve now removed all face covering requirements, and our south departure lounge is set to reopen, after two years, to help meet an anticipated spike in summer demand.
