Nouvelair restarts Gatwick-Tunis flights
Tunisian carrier Nouvelair has restarted operations and is the only airline to serve Tunis from Gatwick. It suspended flights in 2020, restarted in July 2021 but then stopped the service shortly afterwards because of UK travel restrictions. Flights are operating twice a week with a third service to be added in May.

Palladium to open Hard Rock in Marbella and TRS Ibiza Hotel
Palladium Hotels & Resorts’ new Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella will open on July 1. The adult-only hotel, formerly
the Andalucia Plaza, has 383 rooms, including 11 accessible suites. The hotel offers B&B and half-
board stays and is 500 metres from the beach. It has two pools, three bars, a spa and two restaurants. In addition, the hotel group
plans to open its first TRS hotel in Europe. TRS Ibiza Hotel opens in May and goes on sale on June 1. It boasts 378 luxury suites,
12 of which are accessible rooms, and is on sale through easyJet holidays, Jet2holidays, Tui and bed banks.

Jet2 adds 500,000 seats to Greece in ‘massive’ expansion

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced a “massive” expansion to Greece, with more than half a million extra seats on sale compared with summer 2019 – a capacity increase of 86%. The airline and its sister tour operator have more
than 1.1 million seats on sale from the UK to Greece for summer 2022. Their programme includes the brands’ first flights and city breaks to Athens, with services operating between the Greek capital and Birmingham and Manchester from April 14. Other new routes include services from Edinburgh
to Skiathos, Santorini, Preveza and Halkidiki; Bristol to Halkidiki; and Glasgow to Kos. In total, there will be flights from 10 UK bases to 15 airports in Greece: Athens, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion,
Virgin Atlantic starts twice-weekly service from Edinburgh to Orlando
Virgin Atlantic flew its first flight from Edinburgh to Orlando on March 30. The carrier is operating two flights a week on the Florida leisure route, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, deploying an Airbus 330-300. It is the airline’s second route from the Scottish capital, following the launch of its direct service to Barbados last year.

Wizz expands Gatwick operation with 18 routes starting from £8.99
Wizz Air has added 18 routes from Gatwick ahead of the Easter travel peak, boosting its network to 25. The new routes are to Bari, Bourgas, Catania, Chania, Faro, Funchal, Larnaca, Milan, Mykonos, Naples, Palermo, Palma, Rome, Varna, Venice, Vienna, Podgorica and Tel Aviv. One-way fares start at £8.99.
