Splendor resumes inaugural sailings

Regent Seven Seas Cruises will return to sailing with Seven Seas Splendor cruising around the British Isles in September. The cruise will be the start of

the ship’s inaugural sailings. It only completed two cruises with guests before Covid after it was christened in February 2020. An 11-night voyage from

Southampton, visiting Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland, will set sail on September 11. After that, Splendor will sail

to the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic to sail in the Caribbean. The rest of the fleet will return in phases. All passengers must be fully-

vaccinated against Covid at least two weeks before departure and

undergo pre-boarding testing. The line has a new cruise and

rail programme for next year, covering the Canadian Rockies, the Swiss Alps, the Italian Dolomites and the Andes. An 18-day itinerary including

a cruise from San Francisco to Alaska and a Rocky Mountaineer rail journey, costs from £8,999. The Hiram Bingham train

and Seven Seas Mariner will take passengers from Los Angeles to Lima on another cruise-rail

itinerary. Prices start from £9,799. rssc.com

Azamara to restart cruising in August with five Greek sailings on Quest

destinations such as Santorini, Rhodes and Heraklion, all Greece. Voyages will go on sale on May 11. Azamara Quest’s previously

scheduled sailings have now been suspended until October 2. Sailings on Azamara Journey

and Azamara Pursuit have been suspended until September. Passengers affected by these

deployment decisions will be “offered a number of flexible options to rebook or [can] request refunds,” the line said. The line requires all passengers

to be fully vaccinated no later than 14 days before departure. More Covid safety measures

will be announced on May 11. azamara.co.uk
