ITC revamps sales team to push ‘treasury of product’

The ITC Travel Company has restructured its agency sales division and is introducing a virtual reward card across all its brands for the first time to “shine a light” across its portfolio.


The company, which includes the Inspiring Travel Company and Western & Oriental brands, has split its sales team into two divisions: beach and tailor-made, and specialist holidays. It hopes the move will give its specialist brands – Regent, Rainbow Tours and ITC Sports – a higher profile as it looks to grow sales by 10% over the next year. As well as more events, including business owner dinners and ‘meet the team’ sessions, the operator will launch a Love2shop Engage loyalty card in July. The virtual card will allow agents to earn up to £500 per booking to redeem in shops or attractions. As part of the shake-up, ITC’s

We have a treasury of product we have not talked about. “We needed to modernise the structure of the agency sales team to be more performance-focused. Sue leaves with our best wishes; it was her choice to leave.”


Travel, Stef Trevett of Baileys Travel, Sara Allen of Dartmouth Travel and Travel Counsellors’ Su Dillon will attend Tipto meetings and help shape the organisation’s events and strategy. Tipto hopes their input will boost Tipto’s profile with the trade via its training events, roadshows and incentives. They will take part in round- table discussions and focus groups and have first refusal on invitation-only Tipto VIP events. Chairman Jane Atkins said:


“What better way to understand the challenges facing today’s frontline than from the mouths of agents themselves?” Tipto aims to recruit 15 agent ambassadors in total.
