Julia Lo Bue-Said @jlo_said The Advantage Travel Partnership Frustrating to see passengers impacted by travel disruptions after waiting so long to get away. One thing after another for travel agents dealing with these issues at the coalface. They may not have a magic wand, but they do everything they can to put their customers first.

Inbound: Revive VAT refund Delays: Tui’s diverted flights caused issues at Manchester
Story: Inbound tourism set to reach 50%-75% of 2019 levels this year The government is deliberately missing a huge opportunity to bring back inbound tourism. I’m referring to the VAT refund on goods purchased in the UK by foreign tourists. Post-Brexit, the refund was removed. However, now that the UK is a third country, if the refund were reinstated, the UK would rapidly become a shopping destination for continental Europeans. Ironically, I was recently at an event where an employee of VisitBritain told me how she recently went to Paris to go shopping! David Tarsh, Tarsh Consulting
Story: Tui apologises after reports of lengthy flight delays Where are the reps at Manchester airport? They appear to be missing. Tui has diverted flights here and have not had a coordinated plan to deal with the massive problem they have created for Manchester airport, its staff and, more importantly, the poor travellers. I know the airport’s managing director resigned recently and I do not blame her.
Stephen Feeney Q Travel Weekly would welcome a response from Tui
Michelle Murray @MMurray _TC Travel Counsellors I spent most of my Friday evening sorting out clients and rebooking them [after easyJet cancelled 240 Gatwick flights over half-term]. Clients who were going to Marrakech tomorrow are now sorted.
