Travel agent updates from Birmingham Airport’s Tom Screen

n

Hi colleagues, Two years ago, we were in the grip of Covid-19 lockdown and stringent travel restrictions had all but switched off aviation. Now, our growth in passenger numbers continues and we’re experiencing record-breaking days compared with even before the pandemic, with passengers jetting off to summer destinations such as Spain, Greece and Turkey. Domestic services are also busy, with friends jetting off for city breaks and workers travelling for business again.

Daily flights: Anadolujet

Anadolujet will be operating daily to Antalya from later this month. Looking further ahead, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will be expanding their programme for summer 2023 and basing a 14th aircraft at Birmingham Airport to support growth, including new routes to Sardinia and Sicily.

New route: Sicily

I want to thank your customers who present rules-compliant baggage at our pre-flight security screening – with liquids, gels, pastes and larger electrical items removed. This helps us keep the queues moving. It also helps our security officers in their vital task of keeping everyone safe.

Thanks again,

Tom Screen,Aviation Director, Birmingham Airport @BHXtraveltradeteam @bhxtraveltradeteam @BHXtraveltrade
