Aurora’s Sylvia Earle to sail in South Atlantic on maiden voyage
New Aurora Expeditions ship Sylvia Earle will make its debut in the South Atlantic in November. Prices with a 20% early-bird discount for the 17-day maiden voyage departing from Santiago, Chile, and ending in Ushuaia, Argentina, start at $14,076. AmaWaterways to operate two cruises on Mekong in autumn AmaWaterways will return to the Mekong this autumn with two itineraries. The Charms of the Mekong cruise, departing on October 17, starts at £1,960, while The Riches of the Mekong sailing, departing on October 24, is priced from £2,535. The line is currently offering a ‘two for one’ deal on land packages
on seven 2022 departures until June 30.

Arena Travel offers early-bird rates on 2023 sailings
Arena River Cruises has unveiled its 2023 programme with early- bird rates, featuring short and long voyages as well as festive breaks. Itineraries include a three-night
cruise from Rotterdam to Amsterdam, with departures on April 14 and 21. Prices start at £495 and include coach travel from the UK and ferry crossing from Dover. The line’s Salzburg and Historic
Gems along the Rhine cruise is new for 2023. The lead-in price for the 12-day sailing on July 2 starts from £1,649. The itinerary includes the
Rhine and Main rivers as well as the Main-Danube Canal. In October 2023, the same
itinerary is available in reverse as the line’s Arena vessel returns to the Rhine at the end of a summer
operating Danube sailings. Managing director Steve
Goodenough warned capacity on the line’s popular cruises was “limited” as customers had moved bookings to 2023. He added: “Unfortunately, due
to increases in operating costs, it is inevitable that prices will have to rise in the near future.”
