Floating Festivals appoints sales and marketing head


Themed charter firm Floating Festivals has appointed David Hearn as sales and marketing manager. The company will operate two Floating Festival cruises – 80s music-themed sailing Throwback, and Stages, dubbed “a festival at sea” – on Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas in October. Pandaw builds vessel to sail in Myanmar this year


Pandaw is building a 14-cabin two-deck river ship to sail in Myanmar from October. Prices for Kanee Pandaw’s first sailing – a seven-night Mandalay Pagan Packet itinerary departing on October 30 – lead in at $2,095. Movie director Landis and wife to sail with Cunard

A-Rosa strengthens sales team and opens UK office

A-Rosa has expanded its sales team with two appointments an oene its first  office.


Hugh Clayson has been


appointed commercial manager with immediate effect, while Simon McDermott will take up the role of business development manager for the north on May 1. The appointments take the UK


sales team up to five. Clayson will focus on sales


development, market analysis, agent and operator contracts, and commercial projects. McDermott will train agents on A-Rosa products and how they can be booked in the UK. Clayson worked for Pandaw


Cruises until April 2017 and has been consulting for various travel companies since. McDermott joins from Veranda and Heritage Resorts Mauritius. Stefan Trottnow will join


the UK team in May as a cruise consultant, moving from the line’s headquarters in Rostock,


Fred Olsen prepares to host agents on 10 ship visits across UK


Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has revealed its 2019 ship visit programme for agents, featuring 10 dates across the UK. Each of its ocean vessels –


Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch – will host 375 agents from May 23 to November 15. Ship visits will take place


in Newcastle on May 23 and August 16; Southampton on
