New Royal Caribbean International ship Odyssey of the Seas will make its debut in Italy to kick off its inaugural European season next summer. The 4,284-passenger vessel will operate from
Civitavecchia (Rome) for a series of Mediterranean itineraries from April 2021. As part of a 2021 deployment update, the line
has also confirmed Anthem of the Seas will sail from Southampton after this summer’s schedule was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The vessel will feature new ports of call in Denmark,
France and Norway as part of a series of cruises, ranging from seven-night Norwegian fjords to 14-night Mediterranean cities itineraries. Ex-UK departures are scheduled to run between May and October. Royal will sail to more than 200 destinations in over
50 countries with 27 ships next summer. Vision of the Seas, previously scheduled to sail from
Barcelona, will instead operate from San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Caribbean itineraries. Adventure of the Seas will now operate from Barcelona on four and five-night Mediterranean voyages instead of
original plans to sail from Copenhagen and Stockholm. Jewel of the Seas, originally planned to homeport
in Amsterdam and Barcelona, will now sail from Stockholm and Copenhagen on seven-night cruises to Helsinki, Finland; Tallinn, Estonia; and Visby, Sweden. In other changes, Royal ships will sail from
additional US cruise ports next summer including Tampa and San Juan in Puerto Rico. Independence of the Seas, originally due to sail from
Fort Lauderdale on three and four-night cruises, will move to Miami to offer a combination of six and eight- night cruises to the southern and western Caribbean, visiting islands including Aruba and Curacao. Brilliance of the Seas will stay in Tampa for the
summer offering a series of short Caribbean cruises. The line’s biggest season in Alaska will see four ships
deployed, including newcomer Quantum of the Seas. Mariner and Navigator of the Seas will run three-night
weekend and four-night weekday itineraries to the Bahamas and private island Perfect Day at CocoCay. Oasis of the Seas is set to cruise from the New York
