7 Make a difference with mental health
MIND HOW YOU GO
FOR the month of May, Pacific Building will be campaigning on the subject of mental health and mental health wellbeing. This is to coincide with Mental
Health Awareness week, which starts every year on the second Monday in May.

mental health, with depression being predicted as the leading cause of disease burden by 2030. It starts young: 50% of people suffer their first bout of depression in adolescence or early adulthood, and 75% of people before they reach the age of 25. Now is our opportunity as a

with particular emphasis on the construction industry. It is aimed at providing you all with a bit more knowledge on the subject matter, which will then enable everyone to be better prepared for identifying and managing the issues when faced with them, both at work and in our personal lives.

offer us invaluable feedback and insight as to whether we have any issues among the workforce, and to enable the business to develop a policy and strategy for the management of stress at work. I have also emailed out a link to
helpful videos from the British Safety Council on the subject of tackling mental health issues.
