Pneumatic cylinders improve efficiency


New products from the Norgren family were shown by IMI Precision Engineering. The range of products on display included air preparation equipment, pneumatic cylinders and valve islands.


Among the products


showcased was ISOLine, a range of ISO VDMA pneumatic cylinders featuring the company’s adaptive cushioning


system (ACS), designed to help users save time and improve efficiency. Also on show was Excelon Plus, a modular range of air preparation equipment manufactured in the UK. For rapid, simple and convenient in- house calibration checking of thermocouple instrumentation, the oCal-check eliminates the need to send instruments away for laboratory calibration. The savings in down time and cost are considerable, says Labfacility. The compact, low cost


device is terminated in a miniature, male thermocouple connector and plugs into the input port of the instrument under test which displays the appropriate reading. The reading is compared with the value stated on the oCal-check label to indicate the accuracy of the test instrument. There is no requirement


for establishing any other interconnection or for operation of the device which completely eliminates any possibility of user error, says the company. An LED indicates if the


checker is operational or if the battery needs replacing. Calibration values of


-18 and +5ºC, type T or K are available for cold chain applications. Alternative K and T
