CATCH WILDLIFE LIVE AT THE OREGON ZOO Experience wildlife up close at the Oregon Zoo this summer at a Wildlife Live show, presented by PGE. Learn how birds adapt to their habitats during Birds of the World, which runs daily at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and join zoologists as they debunk snake myths and explain the importance of snakes to the environment at Scale Tales daily at 12 p.m. The show stars a boa constrictor. Wildlife Live runs through Sept. 5 except on summer concert days and during inclement weather.

FOUNDATION GRANTS SUPPORT THE ARTS On June 13, the PGE Foundation awarded almost $250,000 to support 23 programs focused on expanding access to art experiences for young people. This year, the PGE Foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary and has awarded more than $20 million to the communities where we operate since it was established in 1997.

EMPLOYEES SHOW THEIR PRIDE AT PARADE More than 30 employees, family members and friends joined the GALE Force Business Resource Group to represent PGE at the annual Portland Pride Parade June 18. We joined 150 organizations to celebrate and encourage diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans communities.

At a glance

We’re breaking fish collection records at our Pelton Round Butte Selective Water Withdrawal facility. Between March and May, we saw nearly 462,000 smolts pass through headed downstream. That's 6.5x more fish than what was collected in 2016! These young fish are sockeye, Chinook and steelhead smolts. We’ll see most of you in a couple years!
