Honey granted planning for £42m development in Nottinghamshire

oleshill-based vant omes West idlands has strengthened its team with three new appointments to support the housebuilder’s epansion plans throughout the region.


Housebuilder Honey will build 114 new three, four and fi ve-bedroom homes in dwinstowe, ottinghamshire, after being granted planning permission for a m development.


he development called, omes by oney at horesby ale will comprise  of oney’s house types and include semi-detached and detached properties. ocated on the former horesby olliery, horesby ale is redevelopment masterplan to create a new sustainable community. nce complete, it will comprise  new homes, a new primary school, a local centre and up to , ft2


of commercial space.


Work was scheduled to start in eptember, oney anticipates that the fi rst residents will move into their new homes in une . ince the fi rm’s launch in ctober , oney has secured  sites across Yorkshire and the Midlands that will deliver , homes and a combined gross development value of m. he company is backed by private euity fi rm lchemy Partners and its lchemy pecial pportunities und  which has m of fully committed capital.


oney chief eecutive offi cer, ark itchell, commented he project at Thoresby Vale will help satisfy the demand from those living in, or wanting to move to, dwinstowe for high uality, high specifi cation new homes. We have seen signifi cant interest from prospective buyers since announcing our plans and the development will deliver a range of new homes well suited to fi rst-time buyers, families and downsiers.


oney has analysed consumer insights and trends to inform its house type designs to ensure they meet the needs and wants of today’s new home buyers, including the fl eible use of all living spaces. tandard features in every oney home include bi-fold doors individually designed fully integrated kitchens and boutiue style bathrooms with a signature freestanding bath and full height tiling. All properties will also feature an EV charging point.


n addition, the development will accommodate the uture omes tandard which reuires all new homes being built from  onwards to produce - less carbon emissions.


igel immer has been hired as construction manager, while oni windale and ayla alik have joined as customer liaison manager and management accountant respectively. With  years’ eperience within the housebuilding industry, igel immer arrives from residential developer aylor Wimpey. n his new role, he is overseeing the delivery of vant omes West idlands’ new homes build programme. oni windale, who has almost a decade of eperience in customer care, joins from housebuilder ovis omes. s customer liaison manager, she is tasked with supporting the regional business’ customers following the completion of their home purchase.


ayla alik has been recruited from multi-tenure developer ountryside Partnership and is playing a central role within the vant omes West idlands fi nance team.
