A natural and colourful new meaning for walls
Presenting the natural beauty of sustainable and renewable cork, Carioca in the Delivering Nature collection by Granorte brings a colourful new meaning to interior walls. With 15 colours and two large formats, combined with the natural and unmistakable aesthetic of cork, Carioca uses bold colour and strong graphical lines to produce a unique and captivating wall fi nish. Created by leading Italian designer Marco Carini, through the strength of a single colour or playful multi-colour palettes the covering lets designers be creative with a material that’s natural, renewable and recycled. Made with 90% recycled natural cork and with no PVC, softeners, formaldehyde, heavy metals or other hazardous substances, Carioca is an original wall covering that’s more sustainable than manmade surfaces and good for indoor environments. Greenguard Gold certifi ed, it’s proven to be low in chemical emissions. Each Carioca panel is fi nished with Aquadur, Granorte’s water-based fi nish. Enhanced with Microban®
antimicrobial treatment to inhibit bacteria growth
between cleans, Aquadur gives a durable and low maintenance fi nish. 01952 443 555

PR.indd 1 Firefl y™ phoenix offers temporary fi re protection for Fenchurch Street offi ces
The refurbishment of two complete fl oors to one of the City’s largest offi ce buildings is making use of the well proven and versatile TBA FIREFLY™
Phoenix smoke & fl ame barriers, to create temporary fi re barriers
while the work is being carried out: protecting people and property across the rest of the fi ve storey structure where business continues as normal. The project at 30 Fenchurch Street, EC3 is being led by Overbury – one of the capital’s most experienced fi t-out contractors, while the London offi ce of HLW Architects is leading the design team. T&R Fire Protection meanwhile is the specialist sub-contractor carrying out the installation of the Phoenix around the atrium, as well as other passive fi re protection measures as the scheme evolves. In total T&R has fi xed 22 rolls of the lightweight Phoenix material to create the two hour integrity smoke and fl ame barriers around the glazed edge of the fl oor plates at levels Three and Four of 30 Fenchurch Street. The lightweight barrier has been fi xed to the bulkhead and at intervals down all of the existing columns, before fi nally being secured across steel angle sections bolted to the fl oor slab.
