Fassa receive two new certifi cations for Steel Frame System

Bortolo, can now announce that two of its Fassatherm Mechanical Plus (Steel Frame) cycles have received KIWA BDA certifi cations.
A trusted and established testing body within the UK construction arena, KIWA BDA recognition is a true refl ection of quality for building envelope products. This accolade gives specifi ers, architects, contractors and installers added confi dence that Fassa systems will perform to the highest standard, both at point of application and for many years to come. The fi rst of the certifi cations is for application of mineral wool insulation supported by a horizontal or vertical rail which is mechanically fi t to the wall. The insulation is covered with layers of basecoat and reinforcing mesh, before being fi nished with primer and silicone render. The second incorporates the same steps, but

with a brickslip fi nish which is fi xed using adhesive and mortar pointing. Brickslips are the latest innovation to be added to the Fassa portfolio and are designed to create a look which authentically replicates real brick.
