INTRODUCTION to My Wellbeing Journey2

Welcome to My Wellbeing Journey 2! We hope you enjoyed following this programme over the last year and that it has helped you to learn more about and prioritise your health and wellbeing!

SPHE supports each of the six indicators of Wellbeing: c c e

For that reason, SPHE and My Wellbeing Journey contributes significantly to your school’s Wellbeing programme.

SPHE gives you the chance to develop a positive sense of self and the skills and insights for caring for yourself and others. You’ll learn to make informed decisions about health and wellbeing and you will develop the resilience needed to cope with some of the challenges of the teenage years.

SPHE and My Wellbeing Journey put you at the centre of the learning experience. The active learning methods used throughout this series encourage you to engage fully with the topics discussed. We hope that the activities presented in My Wellbeing Journey will make for fun, thought- provoking and valuable SPHE classes.

Specification links My Wellbeing Journey is clearly linked to the SPHE specification. Not only is the book broken into four colour-coded strands but each lesson is linked to a specific Learning Outcome and Wellbeing Indicator. Learning Outcomes are then broken down further into student-friendly learning intentions.
