“THE FALCON 2000 IS THE MOST ELEGANT, FAST, EFFICIENT, COMFORTABLE, SPACIOUS PLANE FOR BOTH PILOTS AND PASSENGERS,” TRAVOLTA SAID. “THERE IS NO COMPARISON BETWEEN THIS AND OTHER PLANES.”

Finding Inspiration in the Skies Although Travolta is adding a Falcon aircraft to his fleet, he donated his Qantas Boeing 707 to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society in 2017. The plane, formerly owned by Frank Sinatra, was among a fleet delivered for service in 1964. Despite his own ease of travel, this Hollywood legend seems to have a keen respect for the role aviation has played throughout the years.

“I wanted to get back to the spirit, like when I was a kid in the 1960s, when flying was glamorous and wonderful,” Travolta said of his 2002 Spirit of Friendship tour with Qantas. Travolta teamed up with the Australian airline to restore public faith in the aviation sector after the events of “9/11”.

Travolta received his pilot’s license when he was just 22 years old. As others his age began to enter the workforce, this high-school dropout began an ascent that would position him amongst the world’s leading actors.

While his latest projects include roles as John Gotti and O.J. Simpson’s defense lawyer, Travolta claims a varied body of work in action, romance, comedy and musicals. His path has been studded with Academy Award nominations, Golden Globes and Emmy Awards. But Travolta’s career has never been about the destination.

This living legend has made his life a testament to the journey, and he continues to approach that journey with air travel. Whether it be performing flyover stunts in Disneyland or piloting his newest Falcon, Travolta continues to look to the skies for both inspiration and respite.
