The cabin features LED lighting throughout, designed for greater passenger comfort on multiple levels. The up-wash and down-wash lighting is programmable from traditional white light through an infinite range of color shadings. The choices may replicate the light spectrum of a gentle sunrise or sunset, and there is even a theater setting.

The 24 closely spaced cabin windows in the 900LX not only allow a gracious amount of ambient light, but they also filter for ultraviolet radiation. Another new safety feature: a second hand rail has been added to the main entry stairway.

THE 14-PASSENGER LAYOUT IS THE MOST POPULAR

There are multiple cabin configurations available on the upgraded 900LX to accommodate nearly any desired passenger configuration. By far the most popular, said Judy Miller, manager of aircraft interior design, is a layout for 14 passengers with optional side-facing divans and a second forward lavatory. In the front section of the first cabin compartment is a double- club seating arrangement with stowable, spacious folding tables between each pair of seats.

Aft of the dual club group and forward of the aft cabin divider, is a spacious dining/conference table paired with two sets of 20-inch seats. The table is electrically operated to transition from dining to coffee table position. And the forward top corner of the credenza is cut at a 45-degree angle, allowing the seat just forward of it to recline to a more comfortable angle – an improvement carried forward from previous 900 models.

Each ergonomically designed 9-g, seat offers, forward/ aft, inboard/outboard tracking for maximum comfort and maneuverability. The seats can also swivel and have full-flat berthing capabilities for a better sleep experience.

At the aft end of the passenger compartment is the private lavatory, complete with a full vanity/sink combination, and a more efficient vacuum toilet. An independent hot and cold water supply serves both the lavatory and galley.
