Robert Stubbs takes on General Manager Role in Sea-Land Chemical Europe Expansion


Sea-Land Chemical Co. has expanded the role of Rob Stubbs to the position of General Manager, Sea-Land Chemical Europe. Previously, he served as a business development specialist and helped to found Sea-Land Chemical Europe as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sea-Land Chemical Co.


Rob has 30 years of experience in the industrial lubricants industry, gained in a variety of senior management, business development and technically oriented roles. He brings extensive international business experience and relationships among global raw material and additive suppliers. His growing involvement is part of the company’s goal of becoming a pan-European specialty chemical distributor. Rob will also have an important role in supporting the international activities of Sea-Land Chemical Europe’s parent company, Sea-Land Chemical Co.

Sea-Land Chemical Co. enters the Asian metalworking fluid additive markets with the appointment of Kevin Bolt as Business Development Specialist


Sea-Land Chemical Co. has appointed Kevin Bolt to Asian Business Development Specialist. Kevin will be working with Rob Stubbs, general manager of Sea-Land Chemical Europe to create business opportunities within the growing base of international specialist formulators and independent local companies in China and South East Asia.


Kevin’s business development experience includes projects in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand and in Europe. He has extensive experience working with metalworking fluid suppliers across the Asian market place.


“We are excited to have Kevin on our team to support the development of a regional platform for business activity in China and South East Asia,” said Rob Stubbs, general manager, Sea-Land Chemical Europe.


Now celebrating its 50th anniversary (founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1964), Sea-Land Chemical Co. is an employee-owned distributor of specialty chemicals. New Chairman strengthens the management team at FluidOil Limited as it commercialises its Heavy to Light oil processing business


Gerald Malone’s recent appointment as Chairman and Director of Fluid Oil Ltd brings executive and investment expertise to this emerging oil technology enterprise. With the company’s recent relocation to Thames Enterprise Park, UK, Gerald will begin fleshing out the strategic objectives for Fluid Oil Ltd with the goal of a market listing in three to five years.


Gerald, a solicitor by profession, was educated at St. Aloysius’ College, Glasgow and The University of Glasgow. He also served two terms as a Member of Parliament from 1983 to 1987 and 1992 to 1997. When MP for Aberdeen


South he was a member of the House of Commons Energy Select Committee, a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) at the Department of Energy, PPS to the Secretary of State for Trade and industry, then a Government whip from 1986 to 1987 in Margaret Thatcher’s government.


He has been Scottish editor of The Sunday Times, a current affairs columnist, served on a variety of company boards and was a presenter of business and current affairs programmes on BBC Radio and Radio Clyde. From 1988 to 1991 he was Director of European Affairs at the Energy and Environmental Policy Centre at the John F Kennedy School of


Government, Harvard. Since 1997 he has built a portfolio of interests in the healthcare, software services and financial services sectors in Britain and the USA and so brings impressive financial and technical strengths as well as expertise to this important new role.
