IMCD
launches lubricants laboratory in Paris
IMCD N.V. recently announced the launch of its first laboratory for the Lubricants Business Group in Paris, France. Purpose-built, the laboratory is fully equipped with the necessary apparatus for testing and formulation development.
The primary function of the laboratory will be to provide a better understanding of formulations and additive synergies, to help in the promotion of IMCD’s base oil and additive product portfolio and to develop new projects in cooperation with its customers and suppliers.
On speaking about the development, Sandrine Lebensztein, IMCD Lubricants Technical Director, commented: “IMCD
is delighted to launch its first laboratory dedicated to the lubricants market. The laboratory will further enhance IMCD’s technical offering to both its lubricants supplier and customer partners, and provide them with a unique and first class service. This includes offering support with any specific technical issue such as extreme pressure, anti-wear and anti-corrosion to name just a few. Our ongoing commitment to providing strong technical support and development expertise ensures that we uphold our position as a valued partner in the lubricant market.”
This new Lubricants laboratory joins IMCD’s existing international network of laboratories for the Coatings, Personal
Care, Detergents, Food & Nutrition and Pharmaceutical Business Groups. With this latest addition, IMCD now runs 26 laboratories on all continents where it operates. These laboratories provide formulation and recipe formulation support, internal and external training sessions, product analysis and testing and market trend awareness and development. Cross-fertilization of technical expertise between these labs also ensures all business opportunities are maximised.
