Davinia Andrew-Lynch Andlyn


With a focus on Children’s and YA content, Davinia— founder of literary agency Andlyn—has a keen interest in finding unheard voices. In 2016 she set up the FAB Prize with Faber Children’s to unearth BAME talent and is developing further initiatives for those yet to find their way into mainstream publishing.


Japhet Asher Carlton Publishing


Japhet has created, written, produced and overseen content for Nickelodeon, Disney, CBBC and CBeebies, among others. He launched the CBBC and CBeebies YouTube chan- nels and was in charge of digital content for CBBC during its most successful era to date. Japhet’s work has earned Emmy, Bafta and Oscar recognition.


Owen Atkinson ALCS


Owen joined ALCS in 1997, having previously spent 10 years working in Hong Kong in IT consultancy developing solutions for the publishing industry. Since then he has been involved in international projects regarding information and reper- toire exchange. He also campaigns for authors’ rights, raising issues with ministers and MPs.


Lionel Bender Bender Richardson White


For the past 15 years, book packager Bender Richardson White, which produces children’s illustrated non-fiction, has worked exclusively for North American publish- ers, including National Geographic, Capstone and Time for Kids. For four years, Lionel ran the 21st Century Children’s Nonfiction Conference.


Meir Biton Storyball


Meir is a tech-savvy, multi-disciplinary designer, passionate about the meeting points of humans and machines. He has vast experience in creative writing, methodi- cal training and empow- erment courses for both the young and adults.


Paul Black Andersen Press


Paul works across all books, authors and brands at Andersen Press. He also sits on the board of trustees at Discover Story Centre, and has worked at HarperCollins Children’s Books and Walker Books. He started his career at Seven Stories, the UK’s National Centre for Children’s Books.


Andrew Brenner Pablo


Andrew is a kids’ TV writer and creator, whose credits include the award-winning “Thomas & Friends”, “Maisy” and “The Cramp Twins”. On “Pablo”, Andrew is leading a team of new writers, all of whom are on the autistic spectrum. Andrew has guided them through the process of turning their experiences in life into written scripts.


Mark Chambers Games Workshop


Mark has 24 years of experience delivering passionate and enthusias- tic marketing campaigns that engage all ages. He is an expert in the history of Games Workshop and how its operations have taken it from a small retail business to a global leader in hobby gaming.
