Independent Publisher of the Year Profile Books is looking for a dynamic, creative head of key accounts who loves to read and sell a broad spectrum of non-fiction and fiction. Selling to Waterstones, WHS, key booksellers and accounts


throughout the UK, you will be comfortable working with all genres, ranging from our core heavyweight non-fiction such as Mary Beard, Rashid Khalidi and Shoshana Zuboff, to commercial brands including Murdle and Ryan Holiday. In fiction, you’ll enjoy selling Torrey Peter’s literary fiction as much as crime queen Janice Hallett. We are proud that our commercial team is a close


collaboration between sales, marketing and publicity, and you will play a key part in the group. We are ambitious, responsive and tenacious, and we put relationships with booksellers and authors at the heart of all we do. A nuanced feel for the market now and where it might be going is essential, as is a deep commitment to getting books into the right places to find their readers. You will be ready to enjoy the flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit of independent publishing, and to invest deeply in the quality and success of our books and the list as a whole. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Marketing and assisting with a range of subscriptions marketing activity. The hands-on position includes marketing across all channels including print, digital and social media as well as facilitating partnerships and attending events and exhibitions. The successful candidate will have some experience in a
