Chart-stopper: Oseman makes a triumphant return to the summit
As summer temperatures continue to run high, Alice Oseman has hit a peak with Heartstopper Volume 6
T Week ending 4th July 2026
he return of Nick and Charlie in Heartstopper Volume 6 – the final instal- ment in the graphic
novel series from Alice Oseman – has proven popular enough to claim the Official UK number one, according to the latest data from NielsenIQ BookData’s Total Consumer Market (TCM). When Heartstopper Volume 5
was released in December 2023 – the only other time that Oseman has topped the UK Top 50 – it sold 60,012 copies. The closing part of the series has not been as popular with only 29,841 copies sold, down
50.3% – although that is perhaps to be expected: not only does the time of year have an impact, but the penultimate title in the series was released at the height of the Netflix adaptation’s popularity. Sales of Heartstopper 5 were
particularly front-loaded with half of its lifetime sales coming in its first fortnight on sale – it is likely that, with the final instalment of the Netflix adaptation due to drop on the 17th July, Heartstopper 6 might see its high sales sustain for a longer period. There are two other big brands
that have made an impact in the Children’s Top 20 this week – the
latest Lottie Brooks and Bunny vs Monkey paperbacks were released in the past seven days. Lottie Brooks vs the Ultra Mean Girls by Katie Kirby sold 6,368 copies, up 37.7% compared with the equivalent week for the paperback of The Majorly Awkward BFF Dramas of Lottie Brooks in 2025. Meanwhile, Bunny vs Monkey: Intergalactic Monkey Business! by Jamie Smart has interested 3,526 readers in its first week, up a slight 1.7% compared to Bunny vs Monkey 10: The Great Big Glitch! at this point in 2025. Robert Langdon might start to
see a conspiracy in the charts this week – the sixth book starring Dan Brown’s professor of religious iconography was also released on the 2nd July. The Secret of Secrets has sold 22,753 copies, reaching second place in the Official UK Top 50, making it the most popular adult title of the week. Though that figure is down 41.3% compared with the first week of
