At the EIB, we support projects that make a significant contribution to growth and employment, across the EU and beyond, with a focus on four priority areas: innovation and skills, SMEs, climate action and strategic infrastructure. With our counter-cyclical approach, we have experienced significant increases in both the volume and the complexity of our business, resulting in a 50% increase in staff over the last 5 years. During 2017 we will continue to recruit qualified and highly motivated people to help us take initiative, seize opportunities and share expertise, with a view to ensuring we make the right investment decisions.
The EIB is recruiting at its headquarters in Luxembourg:

Describe your role I am a book mentor and work with business owners who are writing a non-fiction book (typically a self-help book, how-to guide or memoir). I help them to plan, write, publish and market a book that builds their credibility, makes a bigger difference and attracts more of the right clients.
What do you like best about your role? I love helping clients to turn their ideas and dreams into a published book with their name on it. There is great satisfaction in helping them to understand how their message and story can change other people’s lives.
Which new projects or titles are you working on at the moment? I am in the process of launching my new book, Book Marketing Made Simple, and also helping some of our clients to publish their books through our publishing company, Librotas Books.
What skills do you need for your role? Creativity, the ability to generate new ideas, focus, curiosity and structure.
What advice would you give to those looking to work in the industry? If you’re writing a book, planning is essential. Don’t try and do everything yourself and get in experts who can help you. Oh, and if you have a dream, go and make it happen.
