In December, the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce convened the boards of the Development Authority, the Tourism Authority and the Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. to spend an af- ternoon assessing the community, identifying challenges and creating opportunities for continued growth and success. The common theme throughout the gathering was one of consensus on the challenges and an overwhelming commitment to attempt to address the challenges in new and innovative ways.

In addition to educational efforts, a new program is under consid- eration to provide support and education to individuals who need additional assistance in being prepared for the workforce. Recognizing the many challenges of our K-12 area districts, additional support as needed will be provided ensuring our students are prepared for college or career upon graduation.
