MYLIFE BATHROOMS JAMES BATESON
James Bateson has been appointed as the
new area sales manager for
Northern Ireland at MyLife Bathrooms. He will be responsible for driving the company’s ambitious growth plans in the Northern Ireland. He will work with the company’s national sales manager for Ireland, Gavin McCrossan, to devise and implement a long-term roadmap to grow the brand in the region. Bateson has more than 22 years of experience in the bathroom industry. He ran his own plumbing business for 15 years, followed by seven years as a showroom sales manager.

KÖNIGSTONE MATTHEW CLATWORTHY
Königstone has appointed a new regional sales manager for the South of England. Matthew Clatworthy has 17 years of experience
in the kitchen
industry and said that he is delighted to be joining the company. Prior to joining Königstone, he was with Blanco UK for three years and, before that, spent over 14 years as a showroom manager at Buildbase. Clatworthy said of his appointment: “I am delighted to have joined Königstone at such an exciting time as the company is thriving and just launched its range of outdoor kitchens, KönigOutdoor.”
AO BUSINESS ROGER GILES
As internet retailer AO expands its
business-to-business division, which sells appliances to house builders direct, the company has promoted Roger Giles from business develop- ment manager to UK sales manager. Giles, who joined AO in March 2020, has worked in the contract kitchen market for more than 25 years, and worked most recently for Omega plc. With Giles now promoted to the position of UK sales manager, Wayne Paskin has taken over his previous role and
so has been promoted business development manager. to

MERLYN
GREG PIETERSE
Greg Pieterse has been appointed as Merlyn’s new regional sales manager for the East Midlands to north London area. With seven years of bathroom and shower-specific experience at Roman Showers, Pieterse brings with him in-depth market knowledge and excellent technical expertise. Merlyn says that he will be a great addition to the team supporting the region’s retailers. Southern sales director for Merlyn, Gary Hildrow, said: “Greg joins us at a really exciting time, and his experience within the industry makes him incredibly valuable.”

OPTIDEK ANTHONY BARKER, LIZ LE FEVRE
Optidek has two new recruits: Anthony Barker as sales director and co-owner, and Liz Le Fevre as regional sales manager for London. Barker joins after nine years as design and showroom manager at Sheen Kitchen Design. Before that, he was with CP Hart for 10 years and sales director at Deco Glaze for three years. Meanwhile, Le Fevre joins Optidek with 12 years of experience in the industry. She will cover all of London and help educate and inform Optidek’s key accounts about new and updated products.
RANGEMASTER JIM WATSON
Rangemaster has appointed Jim Watson as regional sales manager for the North of the UK and Ireland. He will work with the trade side of the company to support its customers, including merchants, house builders and kitchen furniture manufacturers. Watson joins the company with more than 40 years of experience in the kitchen industry under his belt. Prior to Rangemaster, he has worked for Smeg and the Nobilia Group on a regional level and held director-level positions at Contracts Now and Avanti Kitchens Scotland.
