Night Flight Concepts Offers Operational Risk Management Training to Clients

Night Flight Concepts and The

Squadron have formed a strategic alliance to provide Operational Risk Management (ORM) training for organ izations conducting Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations. The ORM training program consists

of academics and practical exercises geared for operators to easily apply risk management principles into daily routine. The program is always tailored to operatorspecific mission tasks and not just a generic approach found in most other risk management training programs. The oneortwoday course facilitates

individual and crew understanding of how to look at what they do every day and quantify it in a way that is useful during all phases of the flight, from pre flight to debrief. Pilots, TFOs, flight medics, other

crewmembers, mechanics, and adminis trators learn together what their indi vidual and entire organization’s appetite for risk actually is; they learn how to manage it, and how to actually manage change. The big take away from the new ORM

Training Course is operators make their own Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT) and in turn learn the true value of brief ing and debriefing their activities, so they buy in to using ORM from the start. “A critical part of establishing safe

and effective NVG operations is the inte gration of appropriate risk manage ment strategies and tools,” stated Adam Aldous, President and CEO of Night Flight Concepts. “Their realworld operational experience combined with their vast knowledge in aviation safety procedures makes The Squadron the right choice to deliver ORM training as part of the comprehensive NVG solu tions our clients have come to expect.”
