Cornerstone nursery Did the children enjoy using the product?


"When we first took the river balance beams into the room to show the children, their faces lit up with excitement. Some of the older children were particularly intrigued and began asking questions such as, "what is it" and "what does it do". Since setting the river arches up, the children have enjoyed turn-taking and practising walking along them. All age children within our nursery have


enjoyed using it." How did the children use the product?


"When we set up the product, the older children immediately began walking along it before they started to take it apart and rebuild it in different colour order. Our youngest children did try to walk along as intended, but we found they preferred to take it apart and try to re-join the pieces, stack


them up, and knock them down."


Do you think the product offered good value for money?


"Although we don't think the product is cheap, we feel the materials used to make the river paths are solid and durable and will last a long time. This makes the product worth the price, and we would be happy to purchase this product or similar products in the future."

Would you recommend the product to other nurseries?


"Yes, as we feel our children have benefitted from the product in several ways:


• The product allowed the children to develop physical skills such as movement and balance.


• The product helped children practise their thinking skills by encouraging children to think about how to attach the pieces. It enabled them to make independent choices and keep trying even when it felt difficult.


• The product developed the children's spoken language with their peers and adults by encouraging them to ask how it joins together,


listen and follow instructions."
