SIGHT Sensory Bottles

You’ll need… • Empty plastic bottles

• Glycerine (available in the baking aisle of most large supermarkets)

• Dried rice

• 320471 Assorted Jewellery Beads

Method…

• Prepare your bottles by filling each one with 3-parts water to 1-part glycerine

• 309844 Assorted Pom Poms • 309856 Giant Pipe Cleaners • 851221 Green Food Colouring • 841213 Blue Food Colouring • 85123X Red Food Colouring

• Glitter and beads: add the beads, acrylic jewels, glitter and a few drops of food colouring.

• Coloured rice: fill a plastic freezer bag with white rice, add a few drops of food colouring, seal the bag and use your hands to distribute the food colouring, adding more if needed. Leave to dry overnight before adding sequins and glitter. We used a mixture of pink, blue and white to make our bottle.

• Pipe cleaners and pom poms: fill a plastic bottle with pom poms and pipe cleaners that have been wound around your finger to create a spiral.

• We recommend gluing or using tape to fasten the lids to make the bottles extra secure.
