Giant dino footprints
Use this group activity to allow your little learners to practice their measuring skills and see just how HUGE dinosaurs were by comparing the size of their own feet to those of a T-Rex. Mark out the shape of a T-Rex footprint on paper or directly onto the floor with chalk if outside. The average T-Rex footprint measured one metre long by 43cm wide and we drew ours free-hand based on a picture we found on the internet. Let them take it in turns to measure the footprint and their own feet before placing their shoes inside the footprint to see how many pairs are needed to fill it.
Paper plate
dinosaurs Make and decorate your very own dinosaurs. Cut up paper plates to create the body, neck, tail and spine of the dinosaur and use cardboard tubes to give them legs. Let little learners choose what colour their dinosaur will be and paint it. Mosaic shapes are great for decorations, along with wiggle eyes.
