This edition we take a closer look at the area of technology. Developments in technology are continually evolving, providing lots of opportunities for schools just like you. To support you in this area, we’ve provided some advice, tips and insight.
Cyber security is a pressing issue for schools. How do you make the most of advancements in technology, whilst still ensuring that school data is kept safe? Our ICT expert Sarah provides her top tips on how to protect your data (pages 8–9).
Our regular ‘Diary of’ feature is by Dan Ferry from St. Josephs Catholic Primary School. Dan is the computing lead teacher at the school, and he talks about the innovative and creative ways they include computing skills across the curriculum. You’ll find this on pages 6–7.
Knowing where to start when choosing broadband can be tough with all the things to consider, so there’s some advice on what to look for on pages 14–15. Whilst Kate Lewis from Innovate My School takes a closer look at what makes effective EdTech on pages 10–11.
